Bydureon: long‐acting exenatide for once‐weekly injection

Bydureon is a long‐acting formulation of exenatide administered as a once‐weekly injection. The authors present the clinical data relating to its efficacy and adverse effects compared with twice‐daily exenatide and other treatments used in type 2 diabetes and discuss its potential role in management.
