Abstract

Despite antiplatelet therapy for the secondary prevention of cardiovascular events, many patients will still experience clinical events – in some cases this may be due to drug resistance. Here, the authors discuss the mechanism of platelet inhibition and the relationship between laboratory resistance and clinical events. Copyright © 2009 Wiley Interface Ltd
