Liraglutide: new GLP‐1 analogue for uncontrolled type 2 diabetes

Liraglutide (Victoza) is a new GLP‐1 analogue given by once‐daily injection for the treatment of type 2 diabetes not controlled by mono‐ or dual therapy with oral agents.
