Drugs in type 2 diabetes: their properties and recommended use
Authors
Abstract
There are now six classes of oral antidiabetic drugs and a new class of injectable GLP‐1 agonists in the drug therapy of type 2 diabetes, with metformin remaining the cornerstone of treatment. Our Drug review considers their mode of action, properties and recommended use, followed by sources of further information and an analysis of prescription data. Copyright © 2010 Wiley Interface Ltd
