Prescribing in prisons

The Royal College of General Practitioners Secure Environments Group has published a new guide to safer prescribing in prisons (www.rcgp.org.uk/pdf/Safer_Prescribing_in_Prison.pdf).

    Endorsed by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, the guide reviews issues relevant to the management of selected conditions in secure environments and for people who spend time in custody, following guidance from NICE and the Government’s Offender Health department.
